This beef bones soup is made with carrots, green peas, potatoes and can be made with any other root veggies. Hearty and warming, this East Indian stew is good for winter weather or cooler climes. If you’re not in the mood to make beef cutlets or beef chilli fry, this one pot dish is perfect. Plus, it goes perfect with foogias or apas.
Beef Bones Soup

Ingredients
- 500 grams Beef Bones
- 2 Onions
- 2 Carrots
- 2 Tablespoon Fresh Coriander Leaves
- 3 Tomatoes
- 100 grams Green peas
- 2 Tablespoon Ghee (Indian clarified butter)
- 1 Potatoes
- 0.5 teaspoons Pepper Powder
- 0.5 teaspoons Turmeric Powder
- 0.5 Tablespoon Sea salt
Instructions
- Dice the potato and carrots into half or 1 cm cubes and set aside.
- Cut the onions and tomatoes fine.
- Heat the ghee in the pressure cooker and add the minced onions, and fry for 2 minutes.
- Add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, pepper powder, and salt and mix well.
- Now add the potatoes, carrots, green peas, and beef bone pieces and cover with enough water. Pressure cook for till it reaches full pressure (about 10 minutes), and then cook on high flame for 10 minutes.
- Once done sprinkle with freshly chopped coriander, and serve hot.

Notes
- You can replace the beef bones with mutton bones or tongue bones.
