Bangalore being the IT hub and one of the most populated cities in India, you can spot people form all over India and also from other countries living here. From temples and hill stations to waterfalls and forts, there are many places to visit around Bangalore which makes it a loved destination for tourists.

Cultural diversity also means Bangalore is home to a huge variety of foods! From small cozy hotels serving yummy masala dosas to posh resto-bars serving international cuisine, Bangalore has them all. So here is a list of some of the best places to eat when in Bangalore.

1. The Druid Garden, Sahakar Nagar

With its cool roof-top arrangements and good music playing in the background, The Druid Garden is a great choice for those seeking not just good food, but the perfect ambience. Located at Sahakar Nagar, The Druid Garden is a brewery that serves a good variety of International cuisine along with tasty Indian dishes.

Neer dosa to Malabar Chicken Curry to the Thai Kra Pao Rice – they serve some of the most delicious food we eaten in Bangalore. They also have a big list of beers which they produce along with all the other drinks you can think of. Dimmed lights and the greenery add to the beauty of this restaurant.

2. New Krishna Bhavan, Malleshwaram

Get ready to taste the best South Indian food in Bangalore, because this small restaurant serves the best of them! Located just opposite to the Mantri Mall at Malleshwaram, this place is crowded at all times. There are always people waiting for a seat and this says a lot about the place. Apart from masala dosa and coffee, puri bhajji, vada, ghee roast and idlis are the local favorites.

3. Two Friends Cauldron, JP Nagar

Two Friends Cauldron is just the place for all Harry Potter fans. They serve a variety of Harry Potter inspired foods like the Butterbeer and the chocolate frogs and it is an absolute treat for the lovers of the Golden Trio!

If you wish to enjoy the traditional snacks from God’s own Country, the Thalassery Cafe is the place to be. Thalassery is a place in Kannur known for its vibrant food culture and thus a visit to Thalassery Cafe is a great for those seeking to explore Kerala style food.

They serve some of Kerala’s most famous snacks like the parippuvada, pazham pori, unnakkai, bonda, chatti pathal and ulli vada along with tea and coffee. With wooden benches arranged against walls to give the place the traditional Kerala tea stall (chaya kada) vibes. The Thalassery Cafe is a good place to visit during your evening tea time.

5. Meghana Foods

One of the most famous places to eat your Biriyani, Meghana Foods have outlets at different places in Bangalore. It is said that once you try out a Meghana’s Biriyani, you wont settle for any other. And they are also popular for serving such a huge plate of Biriyani that for the price of one, three can eat!

With a quirky setting, Blyton’s is a great place to grab a drink at. This resto-bar is located in Sahakar Nagar, just beside Barley and Grapes, which is another resto-bar. Women are at advantage here since you get a drink free when you order one!

With a good choice of drinks and a fairly good menu, Blyton’s is worth the visit. They have some amazing snacks and pizzas to choose from and a great ambience which makes it a great place to dine out at while at Bangalore.

They have an a wonderful variety of Kerala style dishes out of which the ‘Pothy Chicken’ is one must try item. Their spinach cheese rolls and grilled fish are also some amazing dishes to try out. They have a great ambience and is a good place to take your guests out for dinner.

10. Khandani Rajdhani, Orion Mall

Bringing you cuisines from Gujarat and Rajasthan, Khandani Rajdhani serves you a feast of a lifetime! The food is served as a huge ‘thali’ in the biggest plate you would ever see. Then comes the starters of different kinds of pakods, the main course of a variety of rotis, sabjis and rice and desserts, along with a glass of lassi. This a great place for all lovers of North Indian vegetarian food.
