Bits and pieces of different marriage prayers we’ve heard over the years, merged into one. This is not praying that God will give you a spouse, this is praying that God’s will be done in your future marriage.
Abba Father, thank you for my husband/wife. Thank you that you chose them for me before time began. Thank you that you have shaped his/her mind and body to complement and complete me. Thank you Abba that you have shaped his/her eyes and heart to love me exactly as I am. Thank you Abba that you prepare my heart for the unexpected.
Thank you Abba that you know my end from the beginning and you have destined me for marriage with someone who shares my heart for you. Thank you that my husband/wife will always love you more than he/she loves me, because then I know that he/she will love me right. Thank you Abba that you give me and my husband/wife the courage and grace to love each other the way you love us.
Thank you Abba that our are the third strand in our marriage and that you will be a part of every decision we make and everything that we do. (Ecclesiastes 4:12) Thank you Abba that everything that is written of my husband/wife and myself in the book of destinies will come to pass, for your glory and for my good. (Romans 8:28)
Thank you Abba that our marriage will be a reflection of you and will draw people to you. Thank you Abba that no weapon formed against our marriage will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that we will weather every storm held firmly in your loving arms (Isaiah 4:6, Psalms 107:28-30,Psalm 89:9).
