The Word was with God,
In the beginning was The Word.
Why is it that millenia later
Many have yet not heard?
Of the blood that was poured
The sacrifice that was made
The debt that was forgiven
& the price that was paid.
Are people put off by
Other people’s behaviour
Is that a good enough reason
To reject Our Saviour
Or is it an easy excuse?
To indulge in a world of plenty
Yet at the end of the day
Feel so hopeless and empty
The Good News is, our hope and future
In HIM can be found
To a life of despair and emptiness
We need not be bound
Salvation is free
Even at the eleventh hour
To Jesus Christ be the glory
In HIS name there is power.
